At Port Douglas State School we are dedicated to making each child’s introduction to the schooling process a warm, secure and enjoyable experience. We hold a Prep Information Evening in October or November each year, and orientation mornings for our incoming Prep children every November. In addition, we ask Prep children and their parents to attend an interview with our Prep teachers before the school year commences.
To enrol your child in Prep please complete an Enrolment Form and our Prep Parent Questionnaire. We also require completion of a State Schools Consent Form and Medical Conditions Form. Port Douglas State School also manages a Student Resource Scheme and requires parents to complete a form indicating whether or not they wish to be part of the scheme. Please return these forms to our office as soon as possible to facilitate your child's enrolment.
